BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)

BLS course enables the participant to gain the following competencies. 1. Recognition of lifethreatening emergencies. 2. Delivery of high-quality chest compressions & effective ventilations. 3. Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Course will be taught on the current version of the American Heart Association Guidelines (AHA) for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

PAEDIATRIC ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT

PALS course enables the participant to gain the following competencies. 1. High-quality Child CPR AED and Infant CPR. 2. Paediatric immediate assessment and recognition of danger signs 3. Early interventions for respiratory distress and failure. 4. Early interventions for the treatment of shock 5. Clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias. 7. Post–cardiac arrest management.

ADVANCED TRAUMA CARE FOR NURSES

ATCN is an advanced course designed for the registered nurse interested in increasing his/her knowledge in management of the multiple trauma patient. The ATCN course is taught concurrently with ATLS. The ATCN program has been operational for more than 25 years and has an excellent record of offering a superb trauma educational program.

HOSPITAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT COURSE

Making hospitals and health facilities safe from disasters is an economic requirement and also a social, moral and ethical necessity. This course enables candidates to understand basics of Hospital Incident Command System, identify triage priorities in disaster patients and perform a role in emergency department or in command center during disaster drill.

Updates on nursing trends, cultural competence, medical/surgical and specialty updates pharmacology update, end-of-life care, infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, geriatric considerations, technology update, nutrition update, nursing well-being, communication skills.

NURSING PATHWAYS

Pathway options are available in, emergency nursing, cardiac and intensive care nursing, geriatric nursing, peri-operative & OR nursing, acute and enduring mental health problems, pediatric & neonatology nursing, nursing in the community, nursing in crisis and disaster zone.
